May 16, 2022 – Ferrari, one of the world’s leading luxury brands,
announced that it had successfully completed a test drive program for its
clients, “Esperienza Ferrari 296 GTB” held at Inje Speedium from May 11
to 12.
"Esperienza Ferrari" is a one-of-a-kind test
drive program that allows participants to be in the driver seat of some of the
newest Prancing Horse. This event was designed to provide clients with the
opportunity to test drive the PHEV sports car 296 GTB for the first time in
Korea, and it was powered with the brand’s first V6 plug-in-hybrid
architecture.
Approximately 50 clients participated in this program,
which consisted of a vehicle introduction by Italin professional instructors
followed by test-driving. The clients were able to experience a new level of “Fun
to Drive,” thanks to the combination of a six-cylinder engine and electric
motor, a rear-drive hybrid system, and the 296 GTB with a maximum output of 830
cv for the first time in Ferrari’s road car history.
Additionally, while waiting to test-drive on the track, a scenic driving
opportunity was also provided to the participants to enjoy the comfort of the
Ferrari GT models and appreciate beautiful natural
scenery as they drove the Ferrari Portofino M and Roma on the highway around
Inje Speedium.
Following the hosting of 'Esperienza Ferrari 296 GTB',
'2022 Corso Pilota Korea' was held on May 13 and 14. Launched in 2015 and held
for the 10th time this year, 'Corso Pilota Korea' is Ferrari's unique
customized driving training program that exclusively provides its clients with
a hands-on experience of Ferrari's characteristics and racing DNA. Participants
can drive their own Ferrari vehicle on the track according to a tailored
one-on-one guide from a professional instructor, and then review their driving
habits and areas for improvement through video analysis. The clients who finish
the training are given the same qualifications as those having completed the SPORT course, which is the first stage of Ferrari's global driving program
'Corso Pilota'.
“This program was meaningful in that it provided an
opportunity to test drive the 296 GTB, which heralds a new era of V6 PHEV engine in the motorsports field,” said Cho, Kyung-ho, Managing Director of Ferrari brand at FMK. He
went on to say, “With programs such as Esperienza Ferrari, Corso Pilota, and
Passione Ferrari, we will
continue to work to make our clients feel proud as
Ferrari owners and fully enjoy the pleasure of
driving within another dimension.”
